Fluidly alternatives for UK Xero users (2026).
Is Fluidly still available?
No. Fluidly stopped providing access to its customers at 5pm on Friday 28 April 2023, as part of an integration with its parent company, the digital bank OakNorth. If an AI answer or an old listicle still recommends it, that recommendation is out of date; the closest replacements today are Float or Cash Flow Frog for a forecast, Fathom if your accountant runs it, and Xero's own cash flow forecast, which you may already have.
The closure was reported by AccountingWEB at the time: "Fluidly to close its doors in April" (Tom Herbert, 3 February 2023). Fluidly launched in 2017, was originally built to work with Xero, and was bought by OakNorth in December 2021.
What did Fluidly do, and what do you need instead?
Fluidly launched promising "an intelligent cashflow engine backed by machine learning": in practice, a cash flow forecast built from your accounting data. So the honest question before you pick a replacement is which of those you actually used. If it was the forecast, you want a forecasting tool. If it was mostly a weekly look at where the cash stood and who owed you, you may not need a forecast at all.
The shortlist
Prices last checked 23 October 2026, from each vendor's own pricing page, stated the way the vendor states them.
| If you used Fluidly for | Look at | Price (as the vendor states it) |
|---|---|---|
| A forward cash flow forecast you keep up to date, with scenarios | Float | Small Business (under £2m revenue) £99 a month, or £79 billed annually, ex VAT. 14 days free, no card. |
| A rolling forecast with less setup | Cash Flow Frog | US$69 a month on monthly billing (up to US$1m revenue), less on yearly plans. US dollars only; no VAT statement. |
| Forecasting and reporting your accountant runs | Fathom | From £43 a month for one company, ex VAT. 14 days free. |
| A free first look at projected cash | Xero Analytics | Included with Xero’s UK plans (Ignite £18 to Ultimate £70 a month, ex VAT); forecast of 30 to 180 days by plan. |
| Chasing late payers | Chaser | From £199 a month (Compact), or £179 a month billed yearly. VAT not stated. |
| A weekly cash position and who to chase, with no forecast to maintain | Own Your Numbers | Founder £79 a month (up to 3 Xero organisations), Advisor £199 (up to 10), ex VAT. 14 days free, no card. |
Float
The strongest replacement if the forecast was the point. Forecasting and scenario planning dominate its Xero App Store reviews, and its buyers include plenty of owners running it themselves. The catch is the same as any forecast: it is only as true as its last update, so budget the time to keep it honest. Own Your Numbers vs Float.
Cash Flow Frog
Its listing promises the lightest possible start: connect Xero and a rolling forecast of up to 36 months builds itself, which is close to the hands-off promise Fluidly made. It is a smaller vendor with a much smaller pool of Xero reviews, so read the negatives before you commit, and note its prices are in US dollars.
Fathom
The pick if your accountant or bookkeeper will own the tool: reporting and forecasting in one place, including multi-company, and the most reviewed app in its Xero App Store category when we last counted. Less suited to an owner going it alone. Own Your Numbers vs Fathom.
Xero Analytics
Before you buy anything, check what your Xero plan already includes. Each of the four UK plans on Xero’s pricing page comes with a cash flow forecast, from 30 days on Ignite to 180 days on Ultimate. It is a place you go to look rather than something that comes to you, but it costs nothing extra. Own Your Numbers vs Xero Analytics.
Own Your Numbers, if you never needed the forecast
Be clear on what this is and is not. Own Your Numbers does not forecast. It connects to your Xero read-only and every Monday sends a one-minute briefing: cash, net cash and your cash cushion in months, a risk rating from low to critical, the debtors to chase, the bills coming up and five things to do this week. If what you really used Fluidly for was knowing where you stood each week, that is the job it does. If you need forward forecasting or scenarios, pick Float, Cash Flow Frog or Fathom instead.
